The A330-300 is a medium to long range wide body aircraft developed by Airbus. The development of the aircraft started in the late 1970’s as a stretch of the A300 and it uses thesame fuselage cross section. The formal launch was in January 1986 with its sister aircraft the four engined A340. The prototype flew on 2nd November 1992 with the first delivery toFrench carrier Air Inter on 17th January 1994. The A330-300 first flew in November 1992 and is a stretch of the earlier -200, the -100 never being developed.
