Profiles and Logos

The Boeing 727 is a narrow-body long range four engined jet airliner built from 1957 to 1979. The 707 was developed from the Boeing 367-80 a prototype first flown in 1954. A larger fuselage cross section and other modifications led to the initial 707, the -120 which first flew on 20th December 1957 and entered service with Pan American World Airways on 26th October 1958.

The shortened long range -138 and the stretched -320 both entered service in 1959. The -320B series had improved aerodynamics and a modified wing which included a second kink. The -320B entered service in June 1962 and 175 aircraft of this model were built.
