Sud Aviation

Sud Aviation was a French State owned aircraft manufacturer (the name meaning Southern Aviation) formed on 1st March 1957.

The manufacturer only produced one aircraft, the Caravelle it was fundamental in the development of the Concorde, known in Sud aviation as the Super Caravelle.

The company also designed helicopters which went on to be built in large numbers, including the Alouette II, Puma and Gazelle.

Sud Aviation merged with Nord Aviation in 1970 to form Aerospatiale which in turn merged with MBB and CASA in 2000 to form the EADS group.

This in turn became the Airbus Group in 2014.


The poster is printed on 220gsm silk paper and is delivered in a cardboard tube to protect it in transit.

Cockpit Revolution has been developing cockpit posters for the last 5 years and are drawn by a Flight Engineer using his expertise in aircraft engineering and training.

All the posters are based upon the manufacturers documentation, visits to the aircraft and simulators and photographs.
