Diamond Aircraft

Diamond aircraft is a Chinese owned manufacturer of light aircraft and gliders based in Austria.

The company was formed in 1981 by Wolf Hoffman and was known as Hoffman Flugzeugbau producing its first aircraft, a motor glider, the HK36 Dimona which proved to be a commercial success.

After a number of changes of ownership and re-naming it became Diamond Aircraft Industries in 1998 by which time it was producing the Diamond DA20 light single and the Diamond DA40 was in development.

In 2004 Diamond introduced the DA42 Twin Star, its first twin aircraft. This aircraft became popular with both private and government operators, the aircraft was developed into the MALE unmanned aerial vehicle.

The DA62 started development in 2012 with the first version being called the DA52. The first production aircraft, now named the DA62 started production in June 2014, the aircraft being powered by two Austro AE300 Deisel engines.

Diamond was acquired by the Chinese company Wanfeng Aviation in December 2017.


The poster is printed on 220gsm silk paper and is delivered in a cardboard tube to protect it in transit.

Cockpit Revolution has been developing cockpit posters for the last 5 years and are drawn by a Flight Engineer using his expertise in aircraft engineering and training.

All the posters are based upon the manufacturers documentation, visits to the aircraft and simulators and photographs.
